This role leads the development and execution of the company’s commercial strategy as it moves toward external partnerships and market engagement. The Head of Business Development will define positioning, identify and prioritize target partners, and build a clear, compelling narrative around a novel scientific platform. Early efforts focus on shaping strategy, refining external messaging, and developing a structured approach to partnerships, with the goal of establishing credibility and creating high-impact collaborations. Over time, this role will lead end-to-end deal execution, working closely with scientific and executive leadership to align commercial opportunities with the underlying science and long-term business priorities.

Key responsibilities include building and executing a comprehensive partnership strategy, mapping the partner landscape, and engaging stakeholders across biotech and pharmaceutical organizations. The role works closely with internal teams to translate complex science into clear external value propositions, supports negotiations, and structures partnerships that maximize long-term impact. The position also plays a central role in preparing for major industry visibility milestones and guiding how the platform is positioned in the market. Candidates should have a strong background in business development within biotech or pharma, experience leading complex partnership discussions, and the ability to operate effectively in an evolving, fast-paced environment while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $250,000 - $350,000 annually. This range reflects a good faith estimate of compensation expected at the time of hire, based on experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and the scope of the role.
