This role provides overall leadership for a multi-site Family Medicine practice, with responsibility for strategy, operations, and performance across the department. The Chair will lead the development and execution of a long-term strategic plan focused on delivering high-quality, accessible primary care while improving patient outcomes, experience, and operational efficiency. The position works closely with clinical, administrative, and nursing leaders to align priorities, optimize care delivery across regions, and ensure consistent standards of care.
The Chair oversees day-to-day operations as well as long-term growth, including resource planning, financial performance, and tracking progress against key metrics. Responsibilities include leading physician recruitment, mentoring and developing teams, and building a collaborative, engaged culture across the department. The role also supports the growth of research and education programs, strengthens partnerships across sites, and advances new care models in primary care. This includes coordinating efforts with other departments, supporting enterprise initiatives, and ensuring effective communication across leadership and clinical teams.
Candidates should hold an MD or DO and be board-certified in Family Medicine, with significant leadership experience in academic medicine or community-based healthcare. The ideal candidate brings a track record of building and growing teams, improving care delivery, and leading strategic initiatives. Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills are essential, along with experience managing clinical operations, supporting physician development, and driving performance in a multi-site environment.
