We are seeking a Head of Marketing & Communications to build and lead a comprehensive marketing and communications function that advances the organization's growth, visibility, and impact. Reporting directly to the CEO, this highly entrepreneurial leader will develop and execute integrated marketing and communications strategies that elevate the organization's influence across scientific, clinical, advocacy, philanthropic, industry, investment, and innovation communities. Working closely with executive leadership and program teams, the Head of Marketing & Communications will craft compelling narratives, refine organizational messaging, identify and engage key audiences, and strengthen relationships with partners, collaborators, funders, and supporters. Through these efforts, they will help amplify the organization's mission, influence, and reach across the broader ecosystem.
This is a senior, hands-on role for a leader who can move seamlessly between strategy and execution. This leader will oversee brand management, communications materials, website content, publications, presentations, newsletters, and other external-facing assets while serving as a strategic advisor on messaging, positioning, and visibility opportunities. The position will also lead efforts to increase organizational influence through speaking engagements, conferences, media opportunities, thought leadership initiatives, and strategic partnerships. In addition, the Head of Marketing & Communications will help establish the systems and infrastructure needed to support growth and ensure efforts align with broader organizational goals.
The ideal candidate will bring at least eight years of relevant experience and a proven track record of developing and executing strategic communications initiatives, translating complex scientific or technical concepts into clear and engaging content, and building programs within mission-driven organizations. Success in this role requires exceptional communication and project management skills, the ability to engage senior stakeholders and executive leaders, comfort working independently with a high level of autonomy, and the ability to build trusted relationships across internal and external stakeholder groups.
The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $225,000. This position is also eligible for additional compensation opportunities and offers a comprehensive benefits package. This salary range reflects a good-faith estimate of the compensation expected at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and geographic location, where applicable.
