The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) serves as a strategic advisor and business partner to executive leadership, leading people and culture initiatives that support organizational performance, employee engagement, and workforce development. This executive leader is responsible for talent acquisition, workforce planning, succession strategies, leadership development, employee retention, and organizational culture. The CHRO will collaborate closely with senior leadership and stakeholders across the organization to drive people strategies, support change management initiatives, and ensure alignment between human capital priorities and business objectives. The role also oversees HR policies, compliance, employee relations, workplace investigations, and the development of programs that enhance employee engagement and career growth.
The successful candidate will bring at least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in talent, people, and culture functions, with demonstrated expertise in executive talent strategy, succession planning, organizational culture, and workforce development. Experience may be gained within healthcare organizations or through senior leadership roles supporting healthcare clients in executive search or talent advisory environments. Candidates must possess strong strategic, analytical, communication, negotiation, and project management skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to inform decisions and measure outcomes. Experience in talent management, strategic recruitment, employee engagement, retention, leadership development, performance management, employee relations, and employment law compliance is required.
Preferred qualifications include experience in a healthcare provider organization, experience as an HR Business Partner or strategic talent advisor, and familiarity with healthcare regulatory standards. Candidates should demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and be comfortable engaging with executive leadership, physicians, administrators, clinicians, and other stakeholders. A strong commitment to confidentiality, diversity and inclusion, continuous improvement, and professional excellence is essential. A Master's degree in a related field and SPHR and/or SHRM certification are highly preferred.
