We are seeking a full-time AP/CP Board Certified Pathologist with experience in surgical pathology to join a national team of pathologists supporting a high-volume, high-complexity hospital system in Bangor, Maine. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside highly experienced colleagues in a collaborative environment while contributing to the evaluation and diagnosis of a broad range of surgical pathology cases. Experience or interest in cytopathology is welcomed but not required.
Qualified candidates will possess an MD or DO degree, successful completion of pathology residency training, and certification by the American Board of Pathology. A valid and active medical license is required. Candidates should have at least two years of experience evaluating images, including developing and running assays, along with strong communication and collaboration skills. A demonstrated record of leadership, publications, presentations, or other professional achievements is preferred.
The ideal candidate is process-oriented, adaptable, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of cross-functional teams. Success in this position requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to meet deadlines, perform well under pressure, and maintain close collaboration with key stakeholders. Working knowledge of medical data management software is also required.
The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $350,000 to $450,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and skills.
