Head of Commercialization

The Head of Commercialization will report directly to the CEO and serve as the commercial leader responsible for driving customer adoption, revenue generation, and market development for nanoparticle technologies. This role requires ownership of the full customer acquisition lifecycle, including pipeline development, prospecting, relationship management, proposal development, pricing negotiations, contract execution, and account expansion. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and converting target accounts across academic research institutions, CROs, biotechnology companies, pharmaceutical organizations, and related customer segments while building strong relationships with scientific end users, laboratory leaders, principal investigators, and key industry stakeholders.


Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree, with an advanced degree in immunology, cell biology, molecular biology, bioengineering, biochemistry, or a related life sciences discipline preferred. A strong understanding of flow cytometry, spectral flow cytometry, mass cytometry, cell analysis, imaging, cell separation, or related research workflows is required, along with demonstrated success commercializing life sciences tools, reagents, instrumentation, research technologies, or similar products within academic, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, CRO, or CDMO environments. Candidates must have a proven record of carrying a sales quota, generating revenue, developing new business opportunities, and translating complex scientific concepts into compelling commercial value propositions for technical and scientific audiences.


The ideal candidate will bring experience building commercialization strategies, evaluating market opportunities, developing distributor and channel partnerships, and supporting scalable go-to-market models. Prior experience as a bench scientist, applications scientist, field applications specialist, technical sales specialist, or similar scientific role is highly desirable. Candidates must possess excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills, be comfortable operating in an early-stage growth environment, and have the ability and willingness to travel extensively for customer visits, scientific conferences, industry events, and periodic travel to company headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.


The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $180,000 to $200,000, based on a good-faith estimate at the time of posting. This position may be performed remotely. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, skills, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the successful candidate may be eligible for bonus or other incentive compensation.
