This role leads the global R&D organization, with responsibility for driving innovation, product development, and delivery across a diverse portfolio of products, platforms, and services. Reporting to executive leadership, the Vice President will set the overall R&D strategy and ensure strong execution across discovery research, new product development, and CDMO programs. The role focuses on improving time-to-market, aligning R&D priorities with commercial goals, and building the structure, processes, and capabilities needed to consistently deliver high-quality outcomes. This leader will work closely across functions, including commercial, operations, quality, and regulatory, to translate market needs into actionable development plans while supporting both internal product pipelines and external client programs.


This position requires a hands-on leader who can guide teams through the full product lifecycle, from early-stage research through development, scaling, and commercialization. Responsibilities include leading and developing R&D teams, overseeing budgets and resource planning, supporting client-facing programs, and strengthening processes to improve efficiency and scalability. The role also involves close collaboration with executive leadership to drive long-term strategy, as well as regular engagement with external partners and customers to support growth and innovation.


Candidates should hold a PhD in a relevant scientific field and bring significant experience in biotech, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or CDMO environments, including proven leadership of R&D organizations. A strong understanding of product development, regulated environments, and global regulatory expectations is required, along with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver results across multiple initiatives. This person should be comfortable operating at both a strategic and operational level, with strong business and financial acumen, experience working with external partners, and the ability to build and scale high-performing teams.


This role is on-site and requires relocation for candidates who are not local.
