The Vice President, Translational Applications is a senior scientific leadership role based in Boston (preferred) focused on applying a liquid biopsy platform to real-world biopharma clinical trials. This position sits downstream of core computational development and is responsible for translating complex biological data into clear, decision-ready insights for external partners. The role centers on scientific interpretation, client partnership, and high-impact storytelling rather than building new computational methods or infrastructure. Success is defined by the ability to influence clinical and program decisions through high-quality translational insight and strong collaboration with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
In this role, the Vice President will lead end-to-end translational engagements, owning scientific relationships with translational, biomarker, and CDx teams at partner organizations. The individual will guide study design, shape scope of work, and oversee analysis and interpretation of multi-omic and plasma-derived datasets. Working closely with internal computational biology and translational biology teams, the Vice President will ensure rigor in execution while delivering clear, executive-ready outputs. This leader will also foster strong cross-functional collaboration and help transition bespoke analyses into scalable, validated approaches.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in pharma or biopharma translational science, along with a strong foundation in computational biology or bioinformatics. They should be comfortable interpreting complex data, explaining limitations, and translating findings into actionable clinical insights without needing to build core algorithms themselves. Proven leadership experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to engage senior external stakeholders are essential. Experience in oncology, biomarker strategy, and multi-omic data integration is highly preferred.
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $275,000 - $325,000 annually. This range reflects a good faith estimate of compensation based on experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, qualifications, geographic location, market conditions, and the overall scope and responsibilities of the role.
